Bristol’s Green Party are withdrawing an amendment from tomorrow’s council budget meeting which averts a row over the future of Bristol’s adult leisure learning service.

The Greens wanted to divert the money from the service to help the homeless in the city.

Councillor Tess Green said: “We believe that prevention of homelessness should be a priority as homelessness causes immense distress.

“A further factor is that homelessness would increase as a result of a cut to the prevention fund.
