Green Man Trophy makes itself at home in Kingsdown
The Green Man Trophy has found its natural resting place – at the pub of the same name in Kingsdown.
The brainchild of Chris Bloor, from Town and County Harriers, the Green Man Trophy was set up to encourage runners to try the 46-mile off-road circuit around Greater Bristol, whether solo, in pairs or in a team relay.

Admittedly not a challenge for the faint of heart, the concept has attracted a lot of interest and recently the record was broken again by local runners Martin Beale and Martin Indge, of Team Vasque.
The two athletes completed the 46-mile challenge in 7hrs 19mins 52ssecs, taking nearly half an hour off Beale's previous record of 7hrs 48mins.
The performance was the result of complementing Beale's navigational skill and local knowledge with Indge's pace-setting and family support.
"The course around Bristol's Community Forest Path continues to impress newcomers with its rural views and green spaces – even those more used to the mountains of the Lake District and Scotland," said Bloor.
