Grays clash is just another game, says Forest Green boss
The fact that Forest Green and today's opponents Grays Athletic are both in the Blue Square Premier drop zone is of little relevance to Rovers manager David Hockaday.
He dismissed suggestions that the Nailsworth club had to beat the teams around them in order to guarantee safety this season and insists Rovers aim to win every game, regardless of the opposition.
Hockaday believes the teams in non-league's top light are evenly matched and victory against their bottom-four rivals would be no more or less important than beating anyone else.
"I don't want to think about leagues within leagues and that kind of thing," he said.
"This is just another game to us and one we want three points from. Then we'll look at the next game and target three points from that.
"There isn't a massive gulf in ability between the teams at the bottom of this league and the teams at the top. They are just taking their chances."
Hockaday missed Wednesday's reserve-team defeat to Swansea City as he was in talks with new player, who will arrive just days after leading scorer Sean Rigg extended his loan deal from Bristol Rovers for another four weeks.
Rigg is likely to start, but Rovers will be without long-term injury absentee Mike Fowler, while Curtis McDonald and Marcus Palmer also remain sidelined.
Andy Taylor's hip problem will rule him out, but new recruit Jeffrey Imudia could be fit enough to feature.
