Grant for young Bristol DJs
Bristol's budding young DJs are celebrating after receiving Government grants of £38,000 to renovate and re-equip their studio at the city's community radio station.
The teenagers, based at the City Academy in Russell Town Avenue, will now be able to broadcast for an hour a day, five days a week, to youngsters in the Bristol area.

They were broadcasting their own Kids on Air shows at BCfm up until November last year with a minimum of equipment and without a space to call their own.
Now a grant of £32,000 from the Youth Capital Fund will pay for a new studio and training space. A further £6,000 from the Youth Opportunity Fund will pay for activities, excursions, education and training.
Volunteer DJs brothers Hamza, 13, and Sef Riaz, 15 said: "This grant is just what we need to expand our station and get more kids involved.
"Our show is a great big fusion mixture of interviews with the likes of local MPs, live reviews of the latest gadgets, extreme sports, and the latest films and games."
