Government brings Cabinet meeting to Bristol's John Cabot Academy
David Cameron’s Coalition Government was in Bristol today for one of its out-of-London Cabinet meetings.
The Cabinet meeting took place this morning at John Cabot Academy in Kingswood.
The Prime Minister then answered questions in his latest PM Direct session.
While they are in Bristol, members of the Cabinet and other ministers also carried out visits around the city.
Education minister Michael Gove went to Oasis Academy Brightshowe; the transport minister Patrick Mcloughlin went to Bristol Temple Meads station; the minister for universities and science David Willetts visited Bristol Robotics Laboratories; and the Secretary of State for Culture Media and Sport, Maria Miller, was at the Watershed.
Meanwhile, Ed Balls was in town to support Labour's mayor candidate Marvin Rees and former independent MP Martin Bell was here giving his support to George Ferguson.
