Gough grabs worthy treble
Robert Gough beat his own course record as he gained a hat-trick of wins in the Severn Road Club Open Hill Climb at Hinton Hill, near Pucklechurch.
Conditions were wet and cold but the Chippenham & District Wheelers rider, aided by a tail-wind, recorded a time of 1:50.9 to beat former national hill climb champion James Dobbin (Arctic Premier) by more than 10 seconds.

Freddie Lewton (Newport Olympic) added to his growing reputation as an outstanding prospect by winning the Under-16 competition by more than 10 seconds from Charley Bradley-Veilands (VC Bristol).

The Sport Beans-Wilier rider won round three of the Western Cyclocross League competition at Purdown, in north Bristol, on Sunday with last year's overall champion Scott Chalmers (Science In Sport.com) taking second place.
Round two, held the previous weekend at Lydiard Park in Swindon, was won by Adrian Lansley (Pedalon.co.uk).
