Hanham Minor League Under-9s: James Gulliford's brace in the second match gave Longwell Green Under-9s a 4-1 aggregate Division B win over Bradley Stoke Youth.

Longwell took the lead early on in the first game when a powerful strike from Tom Frankcom was deflected in. Green had the best of the early play and one of many good runs from Reece Dimond led to Joe Harding nearly increasing the lead.

But Bradley Stoke equalised and only a fine save from Jamie Griffin denied them a winning goal.

The second game was more one-sided after Gulliford had given Longwell the lead with a good strike.

With Sam Chivers winning the ball all over the pitch, Longwell dominated and Sam Williams nearly made it 2-0. Tom Chabowski was called upon to make one fine save before fine play from Ben Bielecki led to Ewan Dineen hitting the second goal before half-time.

Longwell had the better of the second half with Joe Brodie running well down the wing and Gulliford sealed their 3-1 win with his second goal.

Bitton beat Nicholas Wanderers 2-0 in Division A, with both goals coming in the second match.

In a high-quality first game, Bitton had the better chances, with Louis Gordon, Ben Snell and Harvey World all going close to breaking the deadlock.

A stunning left-foot strike into the top corner of the net by Max Button put Bitton in front in game two.

Bitton grew in confidence and played some excellent football but they were not able to relax until five minutes from the end when Ollie Yarde rounded off a great move and an excellent team performance with a superb finish.

A stunning hat-trick from Karl Bessell and a brace from Joseph Mulrenan secured a 5-0 victory for Downend Saints in game two of their entertaining 6-3 aggregate victory over Winterbourne United in Division C.

Winterbourne outplayed Saints for the majority of game one and led 2- 0 at half- time thanks to two goals from Benji Parker.

Saints struggled to contain their opponents and only two great saves by Harry Padfield kept them in the game. Star man for Saints was Luke Patel, who worked tirelessly on the right and created several good opportunities for Ben Wheaton and James Moreton, which they were unable to finish.

Ryan Shapre scored Winterbourne's third goal from the penalty spot, but Saints pushed forward and were awarded a penalty of their own in the dying seconds for handball and Patel coolly slotted home from the spot to make the final score 3-1.

Saints started game two strongly and Mulrenan opened the scoring when he was played in by Ben Norman and his near-post finish gave the keeper no chance.

Winterbourne wasted a great chance to equalise when they missed a penalty and, from Joe Coffin's goal-kick, Bessell raced clear of the defence to smash the ball home from 15 yards to double Saints' advantage.

Winterbourne came back into the game in the second half but Max Wookey and Max Wright stood firm in defence.

A great run and cross from Finlay Wolland was superbly finished by Bessell to make it 3-0 and minutes later Bessell completed his hat-trick when he again finished well after set up by Norman.

Mulrenan's second followed some great work by Joseph Porter and Josh Smart, with Mulrenan on hand to nod home at the far post to seal Saints' fightback.

In Under-9 Division A, St Nicholas A beat Coalpit Heath 5-1 thanks to a 4-0 win in the second game.

Saints struggled to find a way past the Heath keeper in the first game until Joe May scored his first goal of the season with a good finish, but Heath equalised when a cross was deflected in.

Saints were always in control of game two, with Michael Holden tackling tigerishly and Alex Langridge passing well.

A long-range Daniel Dempsey goal put them 1-0 up at the break and the same player doubled the lead. Matthew Walters made it 3-0 with a good finish and Matthew Bryant rounded off the scoring.

Fry Club Juniors edged a thrilling game 6-5 on aggregate at Bradley Stoke United in Division B.

Skipper Kieran Watson's low drive opened the scoring and Max Bateman's smart finish doubled Fry's lead in game one, but Bradley Stoke hit back with two goals to level things up at half-time. Fry's again went two goals in front in the second half, Bateman racing clear of the defence and striking a fantastic strike into the top corner before completing his hat-trick with a looping header over the keeper after latching on to a bouncing ball in the penalty area.

A resilient Bradley Stoke refused to lie down and scored twice in the last 10 minutes to earn a deserved 4-4 draw.

Midfielder Charlie Parsons fired Fry's into an early lead in game two and that's how the score stayed until three minutes from time when Bradley Stoke equalised.

But, with barely a minute left on the clock, Parsons found himself unmarked in the penalty area and kept his composure to stroke home the winner.

Andrew Smyth's tireless running and chasing in midfield for Fry's earned him the man-of-the-match award.

Warmley Rangers secured their 10th win of the season and made it three victories from three games against Avon Athletic.

Warmley started well in game one and top striker Nathan Wilkes gave them the lead inside two minutes from a George Wilshire cross.

Due to injury, Freddie Flook and Mason Lewis swapped roles for the game but both played well in their new positions to cancel out the Avon attack and push Warmley forward.

Wilshire had a free-kick blocked as Warmley tried to press home their advantage before the break.

In the second half, Warmley keeper Chris Archer pulled off one great save before Wilshire threaded a ball through Avon's midfield, leaving Wilkes to turn two players and score his second goal of this game and seal a 2-0 win.

Mason Lewis took the man-of-the- match honours for a steadfast performance in defence alongside the reliable Matt Emery.

Warmley piled on the pressure from the kick-off in game two and Jack Baker, Connor Blyth-Robbins and Jamie Box all went close before man-of-the-match Jacob Trowbridge put them in front with a shot from distance after working a neat one-two with Louis Lacy.

More clever play between Trowbridge and Lacy resulted in the latter looping a shot into the top corner of the net to make it 2-0.

Avon responded well and were rewarded for their enteprise when Warmley keeper Sam Clay was unable to keep out a powerful shot.

The visitors pressed for an equaliser in the second half and twice hit the woodwork, while Clay distinguished himself by pushing a tremendous shot over the bar.

Jamie Box and Owen Comley excelled in defence for Warmley, putting in some crucial tackles, while substitutes Henry Sharman and Cory Goodhind also made important contributions.
