Avon Youth League Under-13s and Under-14s: Ben Wood's triple helped Bristol Rovers JSC Under-13s to a 4-1 win at Keynsham Town A.

The only difference between these two Division I teams was Rovers' ability to capitalise on Keynsham's defensive frailties. Woods couldn't believe his luck as he was gifted two first-half goals, while Leon Clayton-Clarke was delighted with his debut goal to secure the result before half-time.

Despite the hard work of Keynsham's Harrison Creber, Josh Rice and Matt Curnock, Woods struck next to complete his hat-trick with Rovers' fourth goal before Joe Osborne scored a late consolation for the home team.

After last week's convincing win over the same opponents Nicholas Wanderers were in confident mood ahead of their away clash with Bromley Heath in Division II.

But they were made to battle all the way for a 2-1 victory, despite taking the lead on 10 minutes with a well-taken Billy Harvey goal.

Tommy Brain popped up with an equaliser for Bromley but midway through the half Harvey set up Mitch Wise to put Wanderers 2-1 up.

The second period saw both teams play some good football. Lewis Hooper worked tirelessly at the heart of the Wanderers midfield and a well- worked move involving Liam Checketts and Josh Shambrook led to Wise hitting the bar with a ferocious shot.

At the other end, Liam Reeves and Andy Clifford defended solidly, while , keeper Mitch Norman stood firm as Heath threatened to pull level.

Playing under floodlights for the first time, Rockleaze Rangers went top of Under-13 Division IV for the first time with a 5-2 midweek victory over Lawrence Weston Colts.

Harry Persad (2), Josh McGill, Ollie Lloyd and Jack Welch got the goals, while Delton Stephenson netted twice for Colts. Sam Green produced a fine penalty save for Rangers with his side 3-1 up.

Rangers made it two wins in three days by coming from behind to beat Broad Plain Sports 4-3.

Goals by Max Edwards, Ope Obakin, Charlie Taylor and Alex Jordan sealed the points, while Nathan Baber (2) and Ross Bates ensured Sports were always in the contest.

Southmead CS defeated Yate Rangers 4-1 to maintain their Division V promotion hopes, despite going a goal down early on.

A strike from man-of-the-match Lee Burton provided an equaliser before the break.

Southmead were a different side in the second half, scoring three times without reply through leading scorer Ryan Connolly, captain James Batt and Burton again to record a good win, helped by solid performances from Mark Asuncion, Josh Palmer and Tom Trueman.

James Dean and Josh Brunt both hit hat-tricks as Whitchurch Sports returned to winning form with a convincing 8-0 Under-14 Division II victory over Warmley.

The deadlock was broken on 15 minutes when Brunt slipped strike partner Dean through to round the keeper and slide the ball into an empty net.

Brunt again claimed the assist 10 minutes later, laying the ball off to Danny Hawkins, who placed a perfect shot low into the corner of the net. Dean then got his second after a powerful run and finish to make it 3-0 at half-time.

Brunt nodded in the fourth and Dean completed his hat-trick with a thunderbolt after the break before Brunt's long-range shot kept Whitchurch in the ascendancy.

Warmley battled hard for a spell, restricting Whitchurch to a powerful Nathan Tilley header from Jake Cook's corner which bounced off the bar.

But there was still time for Brunt to complete his hat-trick and Blake Gough to make it 8-0, while Dan Kelly took Whitchurch's man-of-the-match honours with a powerful performance.
