Gloucestershire runner Robinson targets personal best in Abbey Dash
West Olympic marathon runner Dan Robinson is hoping to crack his personal best in the Abbey Dash 10k road race in Leeds tomorrow.
Frustratingly, the Gloucestershire Olympian missed his lifetime best of 29mins 12secs by just one second in his last race before the Beijing Games, and he is determined to get close to that 29-minute barrier.

Training well: Dan Robinson
"I would like to think I am in shape for a personal best," said Robinson, who was second in the race last year.
"Training has been going well and I'm looking forward to the race."
Back in the West Country, Bristol & West AC team-mates Imogen Ainsworth and Kate Goodhead will be contesting the women's race in tomorrow's British Milers' Club Cross Country Championships.
One of the top races of the day could be the Under-17 men's contest, with Somerset's Nathan Young facing the Stroud pair of Tom Curr and Ben Coldray, plus a strong North Devon AC presence headed by Sam Petty.
