Gloucestershire retained the South West Counties Under-16 League title in defeating Somerset 2-0 at Paulton Rovers.

The visitors went into the match needing only a point to win the championship.

Ryan Batten gave Gloucestershire an early lead with a far-post header before Josh Bruton clinched victory with a similar finish midway through the second period.

The win capped a great season for Gloucestershire, who won nine matches and lost only once.
