Gloucestershire boost for teenage trio
Three teenagers from Winterbourne Cricket Club yesterday received £900 each from Gloucestershire to help to pay for their trip to Australia to play for England in the Indoor World Cup for Under-16s.
Marcus Purnell, Sam Bracey and George Ford, all Year 10 pupils at The Ridings High School, were joined by Gloucestershire CCC chairman John Light, cricket development manager Steve Silk and fast bowlers Gemaal Hussain and Anthony Ireland.

Mr Light said: "It's a tremendous use of Gloucestershire Youth Trust money. It is encouraged to make these generous donations because of the efforts the youngsters themselves have made."
