Highridge United striker Shane Hobbs netted three outstanding goals as his side defeated league leaders DRG Stapleton 3-1.

Hobbs gave his side the lead in the 12th minute with a left-foot shot and then doubled the advantage midway through the half with a right-footed drive from a tight angle.

Aaron Taynton made it 2-1 with a 30-yard shot with 20 minutes to go, but Hobbs almost immediately curled in a free-kick to secure the points.

Bishop's Cleeve Reserves moved up to third with a 6-2 home win over Patchway Town, with Elliott Kennedy and Tim Haddock both scoring trebles. James Stephens and Lloyd Arkell netted for Patchway, who led 1-0 and were level at 2-2.

Axa left it late to beat Berkeley Town, Mike Burnett's injury-time effort going in from 40 yards after Town's Pete Holder had cancelled out Steve Watts' opener.

Chipping Sodbury Town let slip a two-goal lead as they drew 2-2 with Ellwood at The Ridings, while King's Stanley thumped Henbury 6-2.

Thornbury Town were beaten 2-1 by Yate Town Reserves, while Hanham Athletic and Rockleaze Avonside finished level at 1-1.

Taverners gained their first victory of the season as Kingswood were beaten 2-1. Mike Shaw had given Kingswood the lead, but strikes from Jay Redbond and Chris Preece turned things around.
