Getting taste of new school
THOUSANDS of children in the final year of primary school in Bristol have been visiting their new secondary schools.
Pupils got a taste of life at their chosen secondary during Transitions Fortnight, which aimed to help children experience a smooth move to their new school.

Children from more than 20 primary schools were shown around Henbury School.
Year 6 pupils, aged 10 and 11, got the chance to sample science, art and design technology lessons.

More than 3,000 children will be starting secondary school in Bristol for the first time in September.
More families are choosing secondary schools in the city, with a rise to 87 per cent on offers accepted this year.
