Garland sneaked home an ounce clear of Brian Cleevely in the Kingswood Disabled & Over 55s AC match fished on Rushcombe Lake at Bullock Farm, Kingston Seymour.

Garland poled paste to the far bank at 10 metres off peg 24 for 23-0-0 of small carp, while Cleevely fished the same method with maggot at peg four for a 22-15-0 mixed bag.

Close behind came match secretary Pete Powe, who used both soft pellet and paste at peg two to tempt 21-8-0 of small carp.
