Garbolino Blackmore Vale Match Group clinched a 30-point victory and sailed through to the Angling Times Final three points clear of joint second place qualifiers Preston Innovations Thatchers and Daiwa Gordon League.

Eight, 10-man teams lined the banks of the Kennet and Avon canal between Darlington and Claverton. The canal was in superb form for the occasion and despite the inclement weather, twelve double figure weights were recorded, 68 anglers hit the 4lb mark and once again the Darlington stretch came up with the top 4 weights.

Leading the Garbolino charge was Jason Mills who despite not fishing any of the practice matches came up with a 26-4-0 winner. He poled punched bread close-in and caught an early 3-0-0 of fish before moving out to 13 metres with joker to tempt skimmers weighing up to 2lb.

He then switched to fishing a waggler with red maggot and caster close to the far side and finished the match with a late run of quality skimmers.

Second place fell to Fox Match Arum's Vince Camilleri who drew next to the winner.

He caught a few early fish with bread punch but most of his 24-1-0 catch of skimmers came towards the end of the match when he switched to fishing bloodworm and later red maggot over joker at 13.5 metres.

Daiwa Gordon League member Martin Price finished in fourth place at peg A7 with a well taken 16-13-0. He fished a single bloodworm on a light 0.07 diameter hook length and caught 8-3-0 of skimmers, a pike weighing 6-0-0 (which didn't count) and a bonus 8-10-0 common carp.
