Bristol's best take on Phil Taylor
World darts champion Phil 'The Power' Taylor drops into Bristol next month to take on the city's best players.
Taylor takes a welcome break from competition when he appears at a charity event to raise funds for the Round Table Children's Wish charity on Friday, April 10.
But he insists he will not be holding back against Bristol's best.
"It is going to be fun," said Taylor, who has just been crowned Ladbrokes.com World Champion for 2009. "It will be a nice break from the old routine, like a busman's holiday for me
"I won't be holding back or expecting to lose, so it will be interesting to see how good Bristol's players are."
Taylor has visited Bristol on numerous occasions and has fond memories of his time in the city.
The 14-time world champion said: "It will be interesting to see what standard the players are. It was definitely a good standard when I was here before and I expect it will have got better. I'm looking forward to being given a run for my money."
Bristol-based teams will compete for the right to face Taylor and eight winners will contest a leg of 501 with the world number one.
Tickets cost £10 and can be purchased by calling Sandra on: 07921 706430 or 01249 659912.
