G20 aims to put us on road to recovery
I know just how tough it is out there right now. Families and businesses in the South West are feeling the pinch as the global economic crisis hits home.
What's changed since the recessions of the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s is that countries around the world are now much more interdependent. The success of firms and homeowners here in the South West depends to a large extent on the success of markets in far flung places around the world.
This means recovery from this global financial crisis cannot be achieved by one country on its own. We must take action at a local, national and international level.
That's why Gordon Brown will bring together leaders from around the world at this week's G20 London Summit. This prestigious meeting provides a vital opportunity to take the collective action necessary to stabilise the world economy and put us on the road to recovery – which will directly benefit jobs and businesses in our region.
The decisions at this summit will ultimately impact on every family in Britain and the priorities of this summit – jobs, growth, stability – are this region's priorities.
At a national level, we are introducing a package of measures to provide real help now for families and businesses. We are also taking action to get the banks lending again and kickstart the economy by giving a £145 tax cut for all basic rate taxpayers and cutting VAT, worth on average £275 to every household.
In the South West, we are aiming to support people and businesses through the difficult times, while planning for longer term recovery.
I chair the South West Regional Economic Task Group, which brings together public and private representatives to tackle the challenges around our key regional priorities – skills and employment, housing and infrastructure, support for business, public sector resilience and green recovery.
One of the action groups under the Regional Economic Task Group is working hard to promote the Government's "Real Help Now" package in relation to training and benefits. In particular, it is working with Rolls-Royce on approaches to talent retention in aerospace and advanced engineering.
The recent £80 million investment has delivered a facility which is the embodiment of the vision we have for the UK; a knowledge-based engineering, high-value manufacturing economy.

“That's just it Charles, the bankster's use our money to enslave us further into their corrupt system. Just look at America and the Fiat Currency system & the continual need to print more money out of thin air,to create an even bigger problem. The banker's are the problem, they created the EU to enslave us forever.”

“:| The EU has no money, only OUR money and a DEBT it is now accruing in all of our names. . . So don't forget to vote UKIP on the 4th of June.”

“I don't deny that young people need support, seeing that they are our future. Most of the financial support comes from the EU,in one form or the other. We are totally dependent now on the EU on every level. It's a bit like a drug addict addicted to Heroin. I went back to my birth county Surrey,to see my Mum's brother who works for the County Council. He has already said that Common Purpose is one of the greatest threat's to our country. It's part of the "BEAST" he said. The EU. They run all sector's of the civil service, parts of the NHS,BBC and council's. Like he said,"we are stuffed". He use to support the Conservatives, not anymore. He recognized along time ago that Britain is just being prepared for a new ruling system controled by (CP) with the EU supplying the money through the international banks who fund the EU. That's not me saying it Charles, that was him. The choice is ours,we either carry on playing the game and allowing Briatin to decline into a abyss,or we expose Common Purpose and the global elite. And bring Britain back from the aybss.”

“:| Yes. . The young are so neglected that the overwhelming majority now have a mobile telephone.
The government is investing £14.5m in nine pilot schemes that will give disadvantaged teenagers up to £40 a month to spend on positive activities of their choice. Mathew Little finds out how two of the schemes are working out.

Seventeen-year-old xxxxxx xxxxxxxx from xxxxxxxxxxxxx has always wanted to pursue a career in performing arts but has been unable to afford to attend regular dance classes.
But thanks to the Empowering Young People pilot scheme run by her local council, xxxxxxx, who is entitled to free school meals, now receives £40 a month to spend on positive activities of her choice. "I go twice a week and do modern dance," she says. "I've wanted to do it for a long time."
This what you call buying votes whilst many of the elderly can barely afford to keep themselves warm.”

“You of all people should recognize that the elderly and the young have been neglected by endless British Govt's. From Conservative to New Labour. Nothing changes in Britain,no matter who you elect into power. I don't play the game anymore Charles. Thanks to the global elite & Common Purpose,Britain is going into a tyranny. The media & politicians have prostituted themselves to the higher purpose of decieving the general public of the REAL agenda occuring in the world.”

“:| Hmm, quote:- "pointless blogs about UKIP and BTB." . Thankyou Justin. . That demonstrates wonderfully just how little you actually know about ANYTHING that really matters. . Did you know the elderly are more neglected now than at any time in our recent history? . But of course the TV Licence fee is being increased again so they can continue to afford to pay Jonathan Ross an obscene amount of money to produce their usual dross. .”

“How did you reach that revelation Charles. Those old grey brain cells must be working overtime. It's hard being old. More time to think by yourself and post pointless blogs about UKIP and BTB. The propagandist lifestyle that retirement brings.”

“:| But you are an activist Justin! . Haven't you noticed yet?. The only ones who really get 'bruised' are the ones who have been so used to bruising the rest of us for so long. . Most people just can't be bothered to argue with you. . . I've never really had the time before. . :)”

“I would NEVER want to behave like you Charles. Ignorant, arrogant and you have an enclosed mind to everything. How sad is that. Only a FOOL behaves like this. Instead of thinking inside the box,you should start thinking outside. It's a safer bet for you to think inside Charles,no risk in rocking the boat. Only then, will you have a better respect of your human fellows. . . Charles.”

“:| It seems to make little difference what anyone says to you any more. . Without pictures you can't even understand Bull, let alone repeal of the Glass-Stiegel act. .”
