The funeral of a Bristol tattoo artist known round the world for his work is due to take place on Friday, February 13.

Dave Ayres, 43 of Speedwell, was killed in a motorbike accident in Lodge Causeway, Fishponds.

His service is due to be held at Holy Trinity Church in High Street, Kingswood, at 11am and everyone is welcome.

The funeral will be followed by a service at Mangotsfield cemetery in Downend at 12.30pm.

A wake will be held afterwards at the Black Horse pub in Kingswood.

Formal attire is not required, and any floral tributes should go to the Co-op in Redfield.

Two collections will be taken, one will go towards the cost of the funeral and the other to Mr Ayres' widow Anna and their four children.

Tributes poured in from around the world after Mr Ayres was killed in the accident on Sunday, January 25.

For 20 years Dave ran Skin Deep tattooists in West Street, Old Market, and won more than 100 awards for his tattoo art in competitions across the globe.
