Fundraising dance night being held to help Whitchurch boy walk
A dance night is being held in Bristol to raise money towards an operation to help a Whitchurch boy walk by himself. The family of four-year-old Jack Rooke is raising £35,000 to fund the life-changing selective dorsal rhizotomy operation at Frenchay Hospital.
The youngster has cerebral palsy and cannot walk unaided but the surgery should reduce the tightness he suffers in his muscles giving him the chance to play football and dance like his friends.
