Frying pan sparks blaze in Bristol flat
Firefighters were called out to a kitchen fire in Withywood, which started when a frying pan was left unattended.
The incident took place at around 10.30pm on Friday night, in Bishport Avenue.
Crews from Bedminster arrived to find the flat's three occupants waiting outside as their kitchen was alight.
One had left the pan on while cooking, which started the fire and then spread.
Alerted by the smoke alarm, they left the property and dialled 999.
Two firefighters with breathing apparatus used a CO2 extinguisher to put out the fire, and a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke.
