Fresh and innovative ideas from Paige
Paige O'Brien, 19, from Downend, has been nominated for Best Youth Community Researcher and Community Leadership awards after having positive feed back from many community members. Susan Daly, who nominated Paige for the awards said: "Paige is an outstanding member in her community. I believe this is a wonderful chance for Paige. It is real experience."
Chloe Jackson, a collegue who has worked with Paige previously said: "I was on work experience when Paige got the job working with us, I was really happy. She was always friendly and helped me. She knew when I didn't know what to do and would come over and help without me asking. She always knew when I was down and would talk things through with me. I am really happy that she has been nominated and I will be voting for her. She has done so well, I hope to be like her when i'm her age."

After Paige had heard elderly people were lonely in the Downend, she held a very sucessful event where elderly people came together to provide socialisation between our elderly customers.
