UPDATE: Frenchay Park Road reopened in time for rush hourafter emergency repairs to collapsed sewer
Frenchay Park Road will be closed tonight while emergency repairs are carried out to a collapsed sewer.
Wessex Water said its engineers will be working around the clock until the collapsed sewer is repaired.

The road was due to be closed in both directions between Broom Hill and Stoke Lane from 6.30pm.
Wessex Water said: “Due to the location of the sewer, a full road closure will be in place to ensure repairs are completed as quickly as possible.

They advised drivers to leave more time for their journeys due to diversions that will be in place in the area while the works are carried out.
UPDATE: Frenchay Park Road reopened at 7.30am today (Thursday)following emergency repairs to the collapsed sewer were completed.
