Grasshoppers of Zurich midfielder Frank Feltscher is continuing his trial period at Championship strugglers Bristol City.

Invited to train with the first team by former manager Derek McInnes, the Swiss-born Venezuela international impressed when scoring twice in a friendly fixture against Forest Green Rovers last week.

When McInnes was sacked at the weekend, new head coach Sean O'Driscoll decided he wanted to run the rule over Feltscher, who is currently on a mid-season break from the Swiss League.

McInnes saw the play-maker as a possible short-term replacement for Albert Adomah, who is away on African Cup of Nations duty with Ghana, but O'Driscoll may have other ideas.

    “Could be a gem.

But, from what I've seen on video, he's a striker that'll play in behind or alongside a target man or perhaps wide in place of AA

    Now

    2 x CB
    1 x CCM
    1 x RB/RWB if Edwards isn't ready.

Sign those next week and I'll really start to believe!!”
