Tam Kitgrave was in lethal form in front of goal as Almondsbury stayed top of the Gloucestershire Division table with an 8-2 victory over Frampton YFC.

The wet conditions made good football difficult but, after weathering some early pressure, Almondsbury started to take control and went in front when when Kitgrave scored the first of his six goals.

Using his pace to outstrip the Frampton defence, he raced clear and finished well.

Two more Kitgrave goals, plus an Ashley Knight strike, put Almondsbury 4-0 up at half-time.

Frampton were persistent and deservedly cut the deficit early in the second half thanks to an own goal. But Almonds quickly reasserted themselves and three more goals by Kitgrave, to go with Josh Graham's effort, put the game well beyond Frampton, who nevertheless managed a second consolation goal through a well-struck free-kick.

A controversial goal ensured Ashton Boys a share of the spoils in their 1-1 draw with Stoke Lane Athletic in Division A.

Visitors Stoke Lane took an early lead with a cracking volley from Tom Murray.

Stoke Lane defended well as Ashton piled on the pressure but their resistance was finally broken 15 minutes from time when Frazer Clarke put the ball into the net.

The referee's assistant was waving for offside but the referee overruled him and allowed the goal to stand.
