Frampton Cotterell TOADS face le crunch
Frampton Cotterell TOADS (Too Old and Decrepit) and Les Vieux Loups, or the Old Wolves, of Parisis meet tomorrow at School Road (noon) in the latest edition of their very own Le Crunch.
The Frampton team will feature two players – Mike Weaver and Barry Whitehead – who took part in the first exchange between the clubs, as juniors, in 1977.
-

Frampton originally forged links with Franconville, who in 1998 joined forces with Taverny Ermont to form the new Parisis club.
And the exchange remains as strong today as it did back at the start thanks to the bonds of friendship that have been forged.
Weaver said: "We always have a lot of fun together, and one of the Parisis lads even joined a group of us in South Africa over the summer to watch the Lions.
"The games are very competitive – it's been about 50-50 over the years – but Parisis will definitely be looking for revenge, as we won there last year for the first time in a while.
"We've got more than 20 host families ready to look after Parisis, and their Under-12s, 13s, 14s and 15s will be here in May.
"We show them the Suspension Bridge and Cabot Tower, and they take us to Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower."
Frampton, meanwhile, got their hands back on the Derek Mayer Trophy with a 35-15 third-team win at Broad Plain.
The cup, named after the man who died earlier this year after giving both clubs great service on and off the pitch, is at stake whenever they meet.
● Bristol Harlequins are through to the quarter-finals of the Somerset Blackthorn Vase after receiving their second successive walkover.
Crewkerne withdrew from the clubs' scheduled second-round clash last month and Morganians pulled out of Sunday's home knock-out date.
In the cup, Old Reds have been given a walkover against Minehead Barbarians, as have Bridgwater and Albion (v Walcot) and Ivel Barbarians (v Oldfield).
