Foresters finish with a flourish to beat Bradley Stoke

TWO late goals sealed a 5-3 home success for Downend Foresters against Bradley Stoke Town in the second round of the GFA Junior Cup at Blackhorse Road.

Goals from Brad Clark, Lucas Entoundi and Adam Hay levelled the scores at 3-3 for Bradley Stoke, who were sunk by strikes from Paul Kennedy (2), Matt Smith, Chris King and Devon Meek for the Foresters.

Stockwood Wanderers came from behind to snatch a 3-2 home victory against Old Cothamians, thanks to Jack Luton and Ricky Brompton, who completed his double with an 80th-minute decider.

Cleeve Colts fell behind to an early goal for Retainers on the Downs, but bounced back to win 2-1 through goals from Aaron Anderson and Ross Moorhead.

Filton Athletic also came from behind to beat Stanton Drew by the same score, with Mark Lofuf and Niall O'Laughlin on target in the second half.

Adam O'Brien and Paul Cutter both struck twice for Warmley Saints, convincing 6-2 winners away to De Veys, who replied through Jon Nutland and Dylan Whittle. Chris Punter, and an own goal completed Warmley's tally.

Ashley took a 2-1 lead away to Portville Warriors, who recovered from early setbacks and finished 5-2 up with the help of three own goals. Craig Turner and Lee Delaney were also on the mark to complete Portville's spirited fightback.

Andy Moore and Mark Cleverley were the scorers for Hambrook in a 2-2 draw at home to Cotswool, who went on to win 4-2 on penalties.

Simon Palmer completed a perfect hat-trick with a header, then right and left strikes for DAC Beechcroft, who came from behind to beat Jamaica Bell 4-2, with Tom Roberts the other scorer. Dave Alexis and Jack Bowley replied for Bell.

Matt Morley netted a consolation for Roman Glass St George A in a 4-1 defeat to goals from Owen Grant (2), Liam Marsh and Steve Snell for renowned cup fighters Clifton St Vincents.
