Forest Green Rovers2 Kidderminster Harriers 2: On the day he was caught up in a betting scandal, Andy Mangan thought he had grabbed a 77th-minute winner to make Forest Green dead certs to avoid relegation.

But nine-man Kidderminster rescued the unlikeliest of points through substitute Stefan Moore, having seen Conal Platt cancel out Martin Brittain's 30th-minute opener before the break.

Kidderminster's Justin Richards was sent off for head-butting Lee Ayres in retaliation after being fouled right on half-time, and his manager Mark Yates had also been banished to the dressing room by the time Martin Riley was dismissed for two bookings.

Mangan was quickly in the thick of the action, latching on to a ball over the top and forcing a smothering block from Harriers keeper Adam Bartlett.

The visitors took the lead courtesy of some canny wing play by Matthew Barnes-Homer, who pulled the ball back to the edge of the area for Brittain to fire through a crowd into the bottom corner.

Rovers boss Jim Harvey responded by switching Darren Jones to right-back and pushing Jonathan Smith into his favoured midfield role, and immediately the standard of football improved from the hosts.

They levelled in the 40th minute, as David Brown fed Mangan, who squared unselfishly for Platt to tap home.

Moments later Ayres was guilty of a rash challenge from behind on Richards, who inexcusably responded by butting the defender right in front of the linesman.

Referee David Coote duly produced the most clear-cut red card of the season, although the visitors were unhappy that the Rovers man was only punished with a booking.

It could have got even worse for Kidderminster in first-half stoppage-time, with Bartlett producing a flying save to keep out Mangan's snap-shot.

The onus was on 11-man Forest Green after the break, but Barnes-Homer remained a bright spark and he had Terry Burton scrambling across goal with a sharp but wayward attempt on the turn.

Brown was off target twice with rushed shots inside the box, but Stonehouse brought another plunging stop from Bartlett from 20 yards.

Mangan thought he had made headlines for the right reasons when he leapt to nod home Lee Fowler's cross at the far post.

But Kidderminster, shrugging off a mysterious second caution for Riley for an innocuous-looking trip on Mangan, made it 2-2 on 88 minutes when Moore reacted quickest to a loose ball in the area and tucked it into the far corner.
