A VEGAN food fair will be held in Bristol city centre next month.

The free event will take place at Broadmead Baptist Church Hall in Union Street from noon until 5pm on October 30.

Visitors to the fair will get the chance to sample pizza, lasagne, soya milkshakes, vegan sausages and burgers, plant-based "bacon" quiches, pies and an assortment of cakes and sweet dishes including dairy-free ice cream.

There will also be cookery demonstrations, face painting, nutritional advice, talks, films and stalls.

Visitors will take away a free Vegan Beginner Guide, which includes recipes, details of vegan-friendly shops, restaurants and cafes.

The event is being organised by Bristol Animal Rights Collective.
