Mangotsfield United Under-10s finally clinched their first three points of the Division A season with a 3-1 aggregate victory over near neighbours Downend Rangers.

With the score deadlocked at 0-0 at half-time, the platform was laid for Mangos to go on and snatch the first game honours 1-0, thanks to James Flowers' superb free-kick.

A battling performance from Field in the second game helped them to a 2-1 win, goals from Max Garland and Brandon Hobbs, courtesy of Tommy Evans' free-kick, seeing them home.

Bristol Rovers JSC Under-10s came away with a convincing 12-3 win, but they were made to work hard by a St Nicholas team who are rebuilding following the loss of several players.

The first game saw Rovers win 3-1, that after Saints had taken the lead in the 24th minute with a Sam Young shot.

Rovers responded quickly with George Cole scoring from a free-kick, and they went on to clinch victory with further strikes from Aaron Mansfield and Ricky Kirby.

The second game saw Rovers open the scoring through Ben Alexander's sweetly-struck volley, but Saints came back against the run of play to take a half-time lead with a shot from Sam Thomas and a Matthew Bryant free-kick.

Rovers got back on terms in the first minute of the second half through Sam Hutchinson and went on to score seven more times in the final 10 minutes, with Alexander scoring a further three, Danny Ball a brace and Brad Lewis and Alex Skuse also netting.

Richard Yorath netted the winner five minutes from the end of the second game as Bitton Under-10s produced a terrific performance to defeat close rivals Nicholas Wanderers 4-3. After going close on a number of occasions in game one, Bitton deservedly went ahead through George Neill.

After Saints had struck back to level, Ben Snell produced a superb run from halfway before slotting the ball into the corner, before the same player extended Bitton's lead with a scissors kick from outside the box.

However, they switched off to allow Wanderers in to reduce the deficit going into the second game.

It got worse for Bitton as Wanderers then made the overall score 3-3 by taking the lead in the second match.

Bitton repeatedly opened up the Wanderers defence in the second half and just when it looked as though they would have to settle for a draw, Yorath smashed the ball into the net for a superb aggregate winner.

After a disappointing first game, which Ashton Boys won 2-0, Stoke Lane Under-10s produced a fantastic second-match performance to steal a thrilling 4-3 overall victory.

Although Lane started the second game slowly, they showed great strength of character and good football skills to work their way back into the contest.

Jack Griffin continued his fine form to net Lane's first goal, quickly followed by a looping volley from Denym Di Mauro to level it up.

Jo Cook's perfectly-placed free-kick into the top corner put Lane in front for the first time before Griffin grabbed his second of the day to take the game away from Ashton, who didn't let their heads drop and scored a deserved late consolation.

Hallen Under-10s edged out Avon by a single goal over two closely-fought Division B contests.

They took the lead in the opening game when Edward Wilson's well-placed pass found Tom Wookey with room to Hallen should have made it 2-0 shortly after when Wilson hit the post and Corey Cotterill drilled wide with the goal at his mercy.

Game B began well for Hallen as they took an early lead when Salar Rahbari Namin laid the ball on for the in-form Noah Aikins to find the net.

Avon rallied well to level at 1-1 but it was their opponents who nearly snatched the win when Callum Berry went close after good play from Harvey Corp.

Henbury Colts Under-10s went three points clear at the top of Division C with a 4-2 victory over Longwell Green over two hard-fought games. They took the first match 2-0 with Longwell worked Henbury keeper Alfie Richards hard in the second half, earning him man-of-the-match.

It was fellow shot-stopper Liam Buck who earned Henbury's star man tag in the second game as fine goals from Lewis O'Flaherty and Daniel Bartlet saw them to a 2-2 draw, to ensure the hosts maintained their 100 per cent winning record.

In the same section Bradley Stoke United A Under-10s returned to winning ways after coming back from a goal down to beat Downend Boys 5-1.

Captain Kieran Clayton's double and a superb individual goal from James Wakefield secured game one for Stoke.

While Luis Hares scored both goals in the second encounter to clinch it 2-0, helped by keeper Lewis Preston who kept his fourth clean sheet in six outings.

In Division D, Bradley Stoke United B Under-10s celebrated their second win of the season in style by beating leaders Nicholas Wanderers B 4-3 in a thrilling contest.

Goals from Aaron Muscat, Ryan Jackson and birthday boy Adam Bassir in the first game, and a Morgan Davies strike in the second match, saw them to the three points, aided by keeper Callum Beresford's performance to help his team take the overall honours.
