Rain weather warning for Bristol and South West
The downpours and melting ice and snow are likely to lead to localised surface water and river flooding.
Between 10 to 20mm of rain is expected with up to 40mm on western hills. A lot of water is also locked up in compacted snow and this could add another 10 to 20 mm on the level of rainfall. The public should be aware of potential disruption, particularly to travel, the Met Office says.

“Another one for the list ... approach to Asda at Longwell Green.
Surely someone from the council or whoever passes by these frequent flooding spots but apparently choose to ignore them ... ?”

“It's just a bit of rain and the snow has already melted! Get a grip we are used to heavy rain and any flooding will effect other areas!”

“In other words expect flooding at the usual places:
1. On the corner of Lamb St and Trinity Rd
2. On the corner of Fishponds Rd and Robertson Rd
3. The Siston Hill roundabout on the ring road
4. Outside the yellow newsagents opposite Miss Millies in St George/Redfield
Any more people can add to the list ... ??”
