“I hope the Environment Agency has planning permission for any distracting roadside signs in South Gloucestershire.”

“You got that right Shas_J.
Not only will they all go rushing out to the shops but they don't drive appropriately either.
Many a time I have been negotiating a flooded section of road and oncoming cars refuse to wait for me to clear the flooded section even though I was halfway through when they arrived. Then of course instead of going at a sensible speed they go way too fast and risk having both cars flooded by the bow waves.”

“Quote "Motorists are also being urged to take extra care on roads". Yeah right! Tomorrow will be lots of stories about stranded motorists who then slate the emergency services for taking their time to get to them. They are stretched to the limit at the mo - stay at home - give them a break!”
