A CANNABIS factory containing almost 150 plants in a flat was uncovered after firefighters were called to deal with water flooding into the shop below.

Police say the plants could have produced drugs worth up to £150,000 if they had reached maturity.

They were found yesterday when the fire service was called in by the business below the flat to deal with a flood coming from upstairs.

Police were called in and found the flat filled with marijuana plants.
