Firefighters discover cannabis plants at Hartcliffe house fire
FIREFIGHTERS who were called to deal with a fire at a house in Hartcliffe made an unusual find while tackling the blaze – a suspected cannabis factory.
Crews from Temple and Bishopsworth were called to a small fire in a first-floor bedroom at a property at Bishport Avenue last week.
When they arrived the fire had already been extinguished, but they called police after becoming suspicious about activity at the property. Officers arrived and found a suspected cannabis factory in one of the bedrooms.
Around 20 plants were seized along with hydroponic equipment used to cultivate the plants.
