I AM writing to you because, some weeks ago, your paper wrote that people cycling in Broadmead would be fined £30.

I have had several recent near misses with cyclists and roller skaters on pavements in Broadmead.

So, the threat of a fine is useless unless it is followed up with action.

I am increasingly using The Mall, Cribbs Causeway as I find it a safer environment.
