Second favourite Droopys Carvalho was a shock elimination at the semi- final stage of the Blue Square Arc at Swindon on Saturday evening.

Mistley Colonel made all the running to win the first semi-final ahead of Shaneboy Luke and Lenson Express.

Driving Up Pal came from behind to win the second semi-final from Corrig Vieri and Grillagh Guru.

Next Thursday's £10,000 final will be screened live on Sky Sports and is the most prestigious greyhound race to be run at the Abbey Stadium.
