Bristol fans could be among the first to see the long-awaited film of Michael Jackson's life and work.

Odeon Bristol will be opening its doors at 4am on Wednesday, October 28, to give devoted fans the chance to see Michael Jackson's This Is It

The film is a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the performer as he developed, created and rehearsed for his sold-out concerts that would have taken place this summer in London's O2 Arena.

Advance ticket sales for Michael Jackson's This Is It have smashed records with over 35,000 tickets being snapped up since the box office opened.

The sales dwarf those of other one day advance sales figures and are approximately 5.5 times those of the previous record holder Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

Alan Escott, general manager at Odeon Bristol, said: "The team at Odeon Bristol are thrilled to be able to give local film and music fans the chance to witness a very unique cinema experience."

He added: "We are looking forward to welcoming local cinemagoers through our doors over the next two weeks, especially the truly devoted fans at the 4am showing."

Kenny Ortega, who was both Michael Jackson's creative partner and the director of the stage show, is also directing Michael Jackson's This Is It, which is being produced by Randy Phillips, Kenny Ortega and Paul Gongaware.

To book tickets ring the filmline on 0871 2244007.
