Children from Portishead Primary School supported the BBC's Children in Need 2008 appeal by using their creative talents to make costumes.

The costumes were based on children's toys and pupils also donated their loose change to a Pennies for Pudsey appeal.

Co-headteacher, Richard Riordan said: "We have been overwhelmed by the generosity and efforts from our families who genuinely empathise with children in the UK and overseas that are less fortunate than themselves".
