Police are growing concerned for a woman who is believed to be missing in the Avon and Somerset area.

Clare Fryatt, 60, has been missing from the home she shares with her husband in High Street, Offerd D'Arcy, Cambridgeshire since Wednesday, August 5.

It is thought she has not been taking her medication and her family and police are concerned for her welfare.

Officers have traced her to several hotels in Wales where it is thought she has stayed and most recently traced her to the Avon and Somerset area. She is thought to be travelling light, perhaps without any kind of luggage.

Her family are keen to be reunited with her and anxious she gets the medical attention she may need.

Sergeant Dave Walker said: "We are concerned for Clare's welfare and her family are desperate to know she is OK.

"Clare has never left home like this before and no one can be sure she is taking her prescribed medication. We know that she has travelled West and has been staying in hotels in Wales, and most recently crossed into the Avon and Somerset area.

"We are liaising with local police officers, but we would ask people to look at her photograph and let us know if they have seen her. She does have her passport with her.

"If Clare knows of our appeals, I would ask her to get in touch with the police."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Cambridgeshire Constabulary on 0345 456 4564.
