Fair delves into the mystic world
Every year, the Crone Goddess spreads her wintry cloak over the land, reminding us of her supreme power.
In timely fashion, you can learn about the legend of the Cailleach (from the Gaelic for "old woman") from Sorita d'Este, a writer on Western mysticism, folklore and mythology, at a bumper Mystic and Earth Spirit Fayre at the Assembly Rooms, Glastonbury, on Saturday, December 6.
An impressive list of speakers at the fair also includes the Dorset earth mysteries researcher Peter Knight on his discovery of a huge hexagram in the Wessex landscape, formed by the alignments of ancient sites, Kundalini yoga teacher Siri Datta, who has an extensive outreach programme across the world, natural therapist Hayley Rogers, from Somerset, and local astrologer and sacred sites tour guide Lone Bang Whitestar on the Glastonbury Zodiac.
There will be a wide range of readers, exhibitors and stalls with original gift ideas for Christmas, and the fair will be open from 10am-7pm, admission £1, £5 for an all-day pass including all talks, or £3.50 for individual talks.
