Inside your children will be welcomed into a world of amazing facts. Here's just a few:
In 1769 Captain James Cook brought a tattooed man from the South Pacific island of Tahiti to London.
People were fascinated and eventually tattoos became fashionable among sailors.
In Patagonia, South America, there are many eisteddfods or festivals of Welsh culture because people from Wales travelled to that part of the world in 1865. The people there still speak Welsh.
We took a copy to Molly Walker, nine, of Kingswood.
She said: "I prefer story books rather than fact books but this is really good. The pictures are great, I like the Disney ones because they are funny.
"I like travelling and going on holiday, my favourite holiday ever was going to France. I think I might quite like to be an explorer and find new places.
"The book is really interesting, I think my favourite bit is the pictures of African mosaics – how do they make them like that?"
Next week you can collect the next book in the series, Atlas Of The World.
