Science centre Explore@Bristol has lined up a series of activities to keep families entertained and educated over half-term holidays.

The harbourside centre is running two exhibitions for under-eights on jungle creatures and how an airport works, as well as Eye for Colour, which includes a section on what your favourite colour says about you and how a fly sees, and a Science Museum exhibition on the Big Bang.

On Friday and Saturday Explore is also hosting one of its Meet the Expert series.

The event will bring together experts from Bristol University who will demonstrate how computer vision and human vision compare.

The centre has set up its own recycling project collecting old mobile phones that will raise cash for an educational charity.

For every mobile phone donated, the donor will be able to bring a child (under 16) free into the attraction until January 4.
