Exhibition to mark school's 175th anniversary

A SCHOOL in Oldland Common is staging an exhibition to celebrate its 175th anniversary.

St Anne's CE Primary School in School Road welcomed its first children on January 10, 1838.

To commemorate the opening of the school, an exhibition has gone up on display this week.

The exhibition features memorabilia, photographs and children's work.

The school's head teacher, Sean Quinn, said: "We are sure it will be of interest to past pupils and residents of Oldland and its surrounding area."

The exhibition will be open every afternoon between 1.30pm and 4.40pm until tomorrow. On Saturday, it will be open between 10.30am and 4pm.
