Evening Post Cricketer of the Week
Almondsbury paceman Abieshiek Mankur has been awarded the Evening Post cricketer of the week accolade after a devastating spell to decimate the Pak Bristolians batting order.
Mankur, 24, enjoyed an amazing eight-wicket haul for the loss of just 20 runs to help skittle out PAK for a measly total of 48 as Almondsbury caused an upset in the Bristol & District 2nd XI Senior Division clash. The quick left-armer left the hosts reeling by clean bowling seven of the batsmen in a electric period, which also saw him record a hat-trick.

"It was an incredible performance," said Almondsbury II skipper Mike Smith. "The wickets just kept falling and it was a bit of surprise to get PAK all out for 48.
"It was all the more surprising because the wicket was a bit low, but once Abie found his rhythm their was absolutely no stopping him.
"He joined us at the start of the season and has been a consistent performer by picking up threes, fours and five wicket hauls in most of the games."
Almondsbury chased down the meagre target to maintain their unbeaten run during the second half of the campaign.
Smith added: "I have been really pleased this season. We have been a bit of a development side this season and have fielded four 15-year-olds in most of the games. If we can carry on our form of late I think we will do well next year."
