Escape the winter gloom with the Evening Post's Christmas In The City competition
In yesterday's freezing temperatures, it was tempting to think of jetting off to sunnier parts of the world.
Luckily a five-night holiday to sunny Egypt is just one of the prizes up for grabs in today's Christmas In The City competition.
Destination Bristol, which is behind the Christmas In The City campaign detailing what's on and where to go, is giving away some top prizes including a couple of bikes worth over £400, a luxury overnight stay in a top hotel and even the chance to adopt a penguin or gorilla at Bristol Zoo Gardens.
Every day this week, Evening Post readers have the chance to win a different Santa's sack full of fantastic prizes.
The lucky winner of today's sack and their companion will jet off to Luxor courtesy of Kuoni Travel.
With almost guaranteed sunshine year round and a superb dry heat, it really doesn't matter when you visit.
Known as the 'greatest open air museum in the world', Luxor offers some great sightseeing. Guests can wander down by the Nile, explore the famous temple of Karnak and The Valley of the Kings or potter around looking for bargains in the bazaars. Look out for the alabaster, which is plentiful along the west bank and milled not far from Luxor. The clay pots used by the locals for cooking make thoughtful gifts.
As well as the luxury holiday, today's sack also contains a meal for four at the Terrace restaurant in the Marriott Royal Hotel on New Year's Eve, a family lunch for four at Las Iguanas, Millennium Square, a family day ticket to At-Bristol, dinner plus bed and breakfast stay for a family of four at the Bristol Novotel Hotel, dinner for two at the Kiln restaurant, Ramada Bristol City Hotel and a fragrance from Superdrug to the value of £50.
To win this and everything else in today's sack, readers should collect three differently numbered tokens, stick them to the entry form printed below, answer the question and return the form to the Evening Post no later than December 11.
Six winners will be picked at random and will attend a prize giving event on December 13. Father Christmas will then present each winner with their sack full of goodies.
