England star marks opening of netball centre
Bristol netball players can rub shoulders with England and Team Bath stars at the opening of the Grange Netball Centre on Monday.
England international Eboni Beckford-Chambers and some of her TeamBath colleagues will be at the event in Warmley to offer coaching, showcase their skills and answer questions.
There will be a free coaching session from 4pm-6pm and a "H5" netball festival for nine-11-year-olds, which includes the chance to quiz the Super League stars on show.
Adults can tap into the guests' expertise from 7pm-8.30pm, culminating in a mini-tournament, and Under-16 county players from South Gloucestershire will play an exhibition match from 6pm-7pm.
More than £200,000 has been spent on refurbishing the courts at the centre, thanks to a partnership between Sport England, the Grange School and England Netball.
Individuals or teams are welcome to attend the event. To register, contact Zaya Morris, netball development officer for the West of England Sport Trust, on 07919 211759 or email Zaya.Morris@uwe.ac.uk.
