Former England, Liverpool and Spurs star Jamie Redknapp visits Bristol primary school

FORMER England and Premier League footballer Jamie Redknapp passed on some tips to youngsters at a primary school as he accompanied the FA Cup on a visit.

Hanham Abbots Junior School won the visit from the ex-Liverpool, Spurs, Southampton and Bournemouth midfielder in a competition organised by official FA Cup sponsor Beko.

Classes from schools from around the country entered the competition by sending a photo of themselves along with a cut-out of the famous trophy.

The Hanham entry was named the "ultimate winner", which meant that children also got to meet Jamie, who is an ambassador for the FA Cup's tour around winning schools.

QPR manager Harry Redknapp's son Jamie, who now works as a Sky TV pundit and is married to former pop singer Louise, gave the youngsters some tips and posed with them alongside the FA Cup.

The school also won football kits and tickets to one of the upcoming FA Cup semi-finals.
