Somerset Angling topped the team and individual categories following a 72-point victory in the final round of the Viaduct Teams of Five at Somerton.

The team finished 48 points clear of closest rivals Team Keyfords, who ended three ahead of Team Viaduct with 312.

James Knight took the individual honours with 90 points. Team Veals rod Tim Pallant came second with 85, while Somerset Angling's captain Steve Kedge filled third spot with 81.

The individual honours in the final round went to Andy Lloyd, who fished a straight lead with meat off Cary 100 and weighed in 153-0-0 of carp.

Matt Parsons took the heaviest silverfish catch at Lodge 60, where waggler and caster tempted 19-7-0 of skimmers and perch.

Derek Lucas clinched a narrow victory in Bristol PSV's 'Pole Only' match at Staunton Court.

He poled soft pellet at 14 metres off peg five to tempt one carp and skimmers, totalling 21-9-0.

Steve Burgess beat Steve Wynne to second place by less than one pound of fish. Burgess fished red maggot at 13 metres off peg 11 for 19-8-0, while Wynne poled maggot over pellet at 8 for 18-9-0.

The Bridge peg came up with a 44-14-0 win for Steve Vowels in the Carpenters Arms 2,000 AC match, fished at Cotswold Water Park.

He poled sweetcorn close to the bridge at 10 metres off peg five and brought 14-carp, weighing in the 2-4lb bracket, to the scales.

Paul Foxhall came second at peg two, where double red maggot poled at 16 metres to the bottom of the island shelf produced a 12-carp catch, totalling 39-0-0.
