“What's wrong with Bristolians? They complain when we don't get people like Elton performing in Bristol and when we do get them they complain about the location etc.
And considering the mem only has a small capacity(and yes it will still be there in it's present format by next summer and the summer after and even the summer after) then Nevil Road is a decent venue.
Hopefully it will go well and pave the way for future concerts there.
Us Bristolians should be congratulating GCCC for pulling off a major coup. They haven't got a lot of money so this will be a good thing for them.”

“The facilities are rubbish at nevil road. I wonder if it will during the t20s when all the extra seatings up.. Or have Glos just given up on the idea of playing cricket.”

“Excellent - Elton is an superb performer with an almost incomparable catelogue of classic tunes and obscure gems. Roll on June (if I'm solvent). County Ground seems a puzzling choice though.”

“I should think the mem will be being redeveloped by then (fingers crossed) Its a shame we don't have a decent arena in Bristol, its a bit like our airport we have to visit another city to see one !”
