Elna Bright can bring home a breathless double at Windsor – before the handicapper has chance to spoil the party.

The David Evans-trained four-year-old is soon likely to be hamstrung for last week's striking success at Bath, so has understandably been turned out quickly under a 6lb penalty.

Elna Bright sprang a surprise on Friday by defying odds of 18-1 and an unfeasible weight to land quite a competitive conditions stakes.

The validity of his half-length defeat of Fanjura has admittedly been questioned, such was the slowly-run nature of the race.

Few could contest the sharp nature in which he picked up when asked, however, as the son of Elnadim stayed on gamely in the hands of Dane O'Neill.

Although the former Brian Meehan recruit appears to have improved since joining Evans, he has always been a consistent enough sort – even if his Bath triumph was the gelding's first win since his juvenile days.

As such, Elna Bright looks to have enough in the locker to make light work of top weight in a moderate-looking Bet With Ladbrokes Get Rewarded Handicap.

Souter Point can hit the ground running in the Grant Thornton Maiden Stakes.

Roger Charlton's colt should make a nice three-year-old over longer distances after two fruitless attempts as a juvenile.

Having shown promise on his debut at Sandown, he then struggled in a decent race at Newbury over a mile.

The son of Giant's Causeway looked decidedly one-paced on that occasion, so will be far happier over 10 furlongs.

Summer Lodge was an eyecatching second at Wolverhampton last time and can go one place better back at Dunstall Park in the Great Offers At wolverhampton-racecourse.co.uk Handicap.

Alan McCabe's six-year-old rewarded his trainer's decision to ditch cheek pieces here last month when staying on stoutly behind Thorny Mandate.

In light of his career as a hurdler, there is every indication he will be in his element over two miles.

Summer Lodge is also still 2lb lower than when he claimed his sole Flat success last October.

Lawgiver is already a winner at Kelso and has been found a good opportunity with which to follow up in the Princess Royal Trust For Carers Handicap Hurdle at Kelso. Having shown up well at Market Rasen on his last start, when second to Galaxy Rock, the Marjorie Fife-trained eight-year-old is clearly in decent nick. It would come as no surprise to see him thrive over this longer trip and on expected good ground.

Guns And Butter could also shine in the Weatherbys Bloodstock Insurance Novices' Handicap Chase.
