Mid-Gloucestershire Mini League: Ellis Cox produced a sparkling display for Wickwar Wanderers Under-9s as they beat Longwell Green 11-0 at Hanham in the Mid-Gloucestershire Mini League.

Cox demonstrated not only his admirable passing qualities but a lethal finish too as he fired four of the goals.

Jake Hawkins struck five goals, while the others came Jake Templeton, who is growing in confidence with every game following his serious leg injury, and Robbie Haines, with a dazzling run and finish.

Joseph Sands, Matthew Sands, Matthew Hitchings, Scott Barry and Harry Parkinson all played well for Wickwar.

Aiden Goudie had a great game in central midfield for Thornbury Falcons Under-12s, who overcome Woodpeckers 7-1.

Josh Roberts was Falcons Under-10s' star performer as they fought well to hold a Wotton Lions team, who were last beaten in the league more than a year ago, to a 1-1 draw. Reece Chambers equalised for Thornbury.

A splendid performance by keeper Ben Thomas could not save Falcons C from a a 3-0 Under-10s defeat by Frampton United.
